Deputy Chair - Political
  • Association Officers

Eric has been an active member of the party for many years, moving to Scarborough shortly before the 2019 general election from the Oxfordshire where he had served at various times  as a councillor and association officer .

Realising that his efforts in the 2019 campaign would be better directed in Scarborough and Whitby he volunteered to help, he was a candidate in the 2022 Yorkshire Council Election for Weaponness and Ramshill unfortunately losing by just 147 votes.

My aims and priorities as Deputy Chairman Political between now and the general election whenever that may be, to work with councillors members and activities to  ensure we build up the number of conservative supporters and voters in the constituency  to  enable us to retain this seat on election day.

Currently as well as being Deputy Chairman Political of the Association he is also Chairman of the Scarborough  Branch of which he is keen to make more active both politically and socially and secretary of the local Conservative Policy Forum.
