Local Councillor Derek Bastiman has welcomed the recent improvements to the footpath on Barmoor Lane in Scalby.
He said "I've been asking for this work to be done for many years and am very happy to see it completed in time for local children to be able to use it over the summer."
Councillor Bastiman in his role as a local North Yorkshire County Councillor has been able to support a number of local projects with funds available from his locality budget. The beneficiaries have included the toilets in Scalby village, road safefy measures in other villages and local sports teams and venues.
